Vitalik shares his experience of using AI: AI is not helpful in the

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently shared his personal experience of using artificial intelligence (AI) on the social platform X. He said that his experience of using AI in different fields is very different - in fields where he is an expert, such as cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, AI can hardly help; but in novice fields where he is unfamiliar, AI has become an extremely efficient learning and auxiliary tool.

Vitalik cited two recent examples: one is writing native Android applications, and the other is learning the underlying structure of Linux. In these technical directions where he has less experience, AI helped him quickly establish an understanding framework and accelerated the process of learning and hands-on practice.

This observation has resonated with many in the technology circle. Many developers and researchers pointed out that AI's current capabilities in knowledge search, initial guidance, and task automation are very suitable for "entry-level" use scenarios, especially in fields with high technical barriers but scattered resources. AI's question-answering and code generation capabilities can significantly reduce the cost of learning.

In contrast, for experts who have been working for many years, the content provided by AI is often too generalized and cannot really get to the core of the problem. It may even "help more than it helps" due to inaccurate information. Vitalik's remarks also reveal that there is still room for improvement in the "deep professionalism" of current AI tools.

However, his remarks also indirectly affirmed the potential of AI in technical education and cross-domain exploration. For engineers, researchers or entrepreneurs who want to expand the boundaries of their skills, AI is no longer just a tool, but also an "intelligent assistant" that can quickly open up a new world of knowledge.
