JPMorgan Chase: The GENIUS Act promotes improved crypto regulation and many companies accelerate IPO layout

JPMorgan Chase's latest report pointed out that with the advancement of the GENIUS Act in the US Congress, the regulatory environment of the crypto industry is gradually improving, corporate confidence is recovering, and the IPO boom is re-emerging. Many crypto companies, including Ripple, Kraken, ConsenSys, and Bullish, are accelerating their IPO preparations. So far, the number of crypto company IPOs in 2025 has caught up with the peak of the bull market in 2021.

The report emphasizes that regulatory clarity opens the door to the capital market for companies and also brings new opportunities to investors. IPOs provide cryptocurrency investors with a way to diversify their investment in digital assets, no longer limited to Bitcoin and Ethereum, the two largest crypto assets by market value. Investors can indirectly participate in the growth dividends of core areas such as blockchain infrastructure, payment and settlement, custody services, and tokenization through equity.

In addition, JPMorgan Chase pointed out that venture capital activities have significantly heated up. So far this year, the total amount of venture capital in the crypto field has exceeded the same period in 2023/24, showing a significant improvement in market sentiment and providing stronger capital support and valuation endorsement for companies planning IPOs.

Ripple is considered one of the companies closest to going public and is expected to be the first to submit a prospectus in the US market; Kraken, ConsenSys and Bullish have formulated their own listing paths according to the regulatory rhythm of different regions. Analysts said that if the GENIUS Act is successfully passed (it has been substantially passed in the Senate and is waiting for the timetable for the president to sign), it is expected that a number of heavyweight Web3 companies will enter the capital market in the next 12 months.

JPMorgan Chase concluded that the compliance process can not only stimulate the endogenous power of the industry, but also promote the maturity of the digital asset investment structure, bringing a new round of institutional expansion to the entire crypto market.
