Eric Trump denies involvement in Tron Inc, calls reports market speculation

Eric Trump, son of US President Trump, posted a message on the social platform X early this morning, denying that he played any public role in Tron or its related entities. He said that although he personally admired Tron founder Justin Sun and his blockchain project, the outside world's claims that he was "about to become a senior executive" or "actually involved in Tron Inc" were not true.

"I am a big fan of Justin Sun and Tron, but the following statement is not accurate: I am not publicly involved in the company." Eric Trump wrote in a tweet, "The market news that I will take a position is pure speculation." He emphasized that although he supports blockchain innovation, he currently does not hold any official position in Tron Inc or participate in its operations.

This response comes at a time when Tron is about to go public through a reverse merger with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment. According to earlier reports from multiple media, after Tron merges with SRM, Tron will inject up to $210 million in token assets to form a listed entity called "Tron Inc." Relevant sources claim that Eric Trump may hold a management position in the company.

However, Eric Trump's explicit denial of involvement has temporarily calmed the outside world's speculation about his relationship with Tron. It is worth noting that this is not the first time he has expressed his concern about the crypto industry. Since his father, Trump, has recently become more positive about crypto assets, Eric Trump has liked related content many times and has expressed his interest in financial innovation on many occasions.

So far, Tron has not responded to Eric Trump’s post. SRM Entertainment and the dealmaker Dominari Securities have not publicly commented on whether this statement will have an impact on the merger transaction.
