Harmonic, an artificial intelligence company co-founded by Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, announced the completion of a $100 million Series B financing, with a company valuation of $875 million. This round of financing was led by veteran venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, followed by well-known institutions such as Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures and Paradigm.

Founded in 2023, Harmonic was co-founded by Vlad Tenev and Tudor Achim, former CEO of Helm.ai, and is committed to building AI systems with complex mathematical reasoning capabilities to advance its vision of "mathematical superintelligence". The company's flagship AI model Aristotle is designed to handle high-order mathematical problems and explore the application of AI to complex scenarios such as basic scientific research, quantitative finance, and engineering.

Harmonic said that the Aristotle model will be open to research institutions and the public later this year to promote the combination of open science and cutting-edge research. This financing will accelerate its team expansion and computing power investment to support model training and productization.

Vlad Tenev said that the next breakthrough in AI technology is likely to be in the fields of mathematics and basic science. "We hope to build not only a general language model, but a system that can think and discover new theories like a mathematician."

In the AI investment boom, Harmonic is regarded as a representative project of "deep technology" that focuses on breaking through the boundaries of specific capabilities, attracting the attention and bets of top capital.
