[Thumzup Media Corporation (NASDAQ: TZUP)] announced today that the company's board of directors has officially authorized it to hold up to $250 million in cryptocurrency assets, marking the official entry of the social media company into the digital asset strategic allocation stage.

According to the announcement, Thumzup will be able to invest in the following mainstream cryptocurrencies and stablecoins: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), stablecoin USDC

The authorization gives management the flexibility to intervene in the crypto asset market at the right time, while diversifying the company's asset structure, hedging inflation risks and enhancing capital return potential.

It is worth noting that Donald Trump Jr., son of US President Trump, has previously been disclosed as one of Thumzup's investors, and his shareholding background is highly consistent with the company's crypto-friendly strategy. The Trump family has recently released their support for the cryptocurrency industry in public many times, further promoting related companies to gain investor attention.

Thumzup has previously attracted market attention for its "likes to cash" social marketing platform, where users can recommend products through social media and receive rewards. With this foray into cryptocurrency assets, the company may be aiming to integrate its social platform with the Web3 economy, providing users and creators with a more decentralized and rewardable incentive mechanism.

At the macro level, more and more US-listed companies are incorporating crypto assets into their balance sheets as a means of liquidity management or asset preservation. Thumzup's authorization may pave the way for its long-term strategic asset allocation, and is also an important signal to attract a new generation of investors.

The company has not yet disclosed the specific investment timing and proportion allocation, but the market will pay close attention to whether its subsequent operations refer to the models of crypto asset allocation pioneers such as Tesla and MicroStrategy.
