Galaxy recently sold more than 80,000 bitcoins on behalf of an early Satoshi-era investor, valued at more than $9 billion at current market prices.
Galaxy said the transaction was part of the investor's estate planning strategy and marked one of the earliest and most significant exits from the digital asset market.

According to the press release, this is the largest notional sale of bitcoin ever for a Satoshi-era investor. Based on current market prices, the sale is worth more than $9 billion.
In recent weeks, a large number of old bitcoins have been moved, including one bitcoin whale who moved $1.26 billion worth of bitcoin after years of silence. Earlier, a Satoshi-era bitcoin whale moved more than 80,000 bitcoins worth more than $9.5 billion.
