Animoca Brands Invests in IoTeX to Accelerate Real-World AI Development

On August 28th, blockchain platform IoTeX announced a strategic investment from Animoca Brands, formalizing the establishment of an ecosystem partnership.

Animoca Brands will not only serve as a key validator node on the IoTeX network, but will also leverage its deep industry resources and global influence in the Web3 space to inject new momentum into the IoTeX ecosystem. Animoca Brands, a globally renowned Web3 investment firm and game software developer, boasts over 540 portfolio companies across key sectors, including blockchain gaming, the metaverse, and digital assets.

This partnership not only provides financial support for IoTeX but will also leverage Animoca's extensive presence in Asia and globally to expand regional partnerships and commercial deployment channels.

Both parties will focus on in-depth collaboration around "real-world AI applications," encompassing cutting-edge areas such as intelligent mobile networks, autonomous driving infrastructure, and intelligent energy management systems. IoTeX has established a solid foundation at the convergence of IoT and blockchain, supporting over 100 decentralized applications (DApps) and 40 million physical devices across multiple industries, including smart mobility, robotics, sustainable energy, and telemedicine.

This partnership is expected to further accelerate the IoTeX ecosystem's expansion into the Asian market. Leveraging Animoca Brands' experience in mainstreaming OpenMetaverse and Web3 applications, the partnership will jointly drive the scale-up of key areas such as trusted machine learning, smart device networks, and energy digitization.
