Guotai Junan International officially launches cryptocurrency trading services in Hong Kong

Cailian Press reported on August 28th that Guotai Junan International announced the official launch of cryptocurrency trading services in Hong Kong, becoming the first Chinese brokerage firm to offer such services in the city's financial market.

The service is available to clients with existing cryptocurrency trading accounts and covers a variety of mainstream and emerging cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Avalanche Coin (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), and Solana (SOL).

Furthermore, qualified professional investors can access a wider range of advanced investment products, such as Ripple (XRP), Tether (USDT), and the US Dollar Stablecoin (USDC). Guotai Junan International received regulatory approval to conduct virtual asset trading services on June 24th of this year.

The official launch of this service marks the company as the first Chinese brokerage firm in Hong Kong to offer clients a full range of virtual asset trading services, further expanding its comprehensive financial services offerings.

This move is also seen as a significant step in Hong Kong's efforts to promote the compliance and internationalization of the virtual asset market. As more traditional financial institutions gradually enter the virtual asset field, it is expected to further enhance market liquidity and investor participation, and push the industry towards a more mature and standardized operation track.
