Grocery Giant SPAR Tries Out Crypto Payments

SPAR is a global grocery retailer with over 13,900 stores in 48 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.

Cryptocurrency payments are reportedly being tested in Switzerland. A Linkedin post shows that a SPAR store in Zug, Switzerland is accepting Bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network. The trial is one of the largest tests of crypto payments by a major retail chain.
