Following his reputation as the founder of TRON, an advisor to the Trump family's WLFI project, and a protégé of Jack Ma, Justin Sun has now become the youngest Chinese commercial astronaut. On July 21st, Blue Origin, founded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced that its NS-34 mission would carry six people, including Justin Sun.
Previous reports revealed that Sun had bid $28 million for a seat on Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket in 2021.
The funds will support the Blue Origin Foundation and 19 space-focused charities to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
As a prominent Chinese figure in space travel, Sun is not alone.
On April 1st, 2025, F2POOL co-founder Wang Chun, having previously invested nearly $200 million of his own money, participated in SpaceX's Crew Dragon Fram-2 mission, achieving the first-ever launch of four civilian astronauts into a 90-degree inclination orbit around the Earth's poles.
It can be said that blockchain industry practitioners are becoming an important customer group for commercial aerospace.
Justin Sun's small step is a giant leap for blockchain.
