The U.S. federal government has partnered with OpenAI to promote the use of artificial intelligence.

According to Fox News, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced a partnership with OpenAI to provide the enterprise version of ChatGPT to all federal agencies, with each agency paying a $1 fee. This initiative is a key component of the Trump administration's AI action plan, aimed at improving government efficiency.

This move supports the Trump AI Action Plan, which aims to accelerate the deployment of AI in government workflows and curb waste, fraud, and abuse. OpenAI stated that ChatGPT has approximately 700 million weekly active users, and government employees will receive exclusive training and community support across all departments, solidifying the United States' leadership in AI.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that providing AI tools to public service departments will help government officials better serve the American people. As part of the partnership, federal agency employees will receive customized training resources and guided learning plans.
