The Hong Kong Digital Asset Listed Companies Association was officially established. Mr. Chan Ho-lim, Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, officiated the ceremony and delivered a speech.

On August 27 (UTC 8), the Hong Kong Digital Asset Listed Companies Association (HKVALA) held its inaugural ceremony in Central, Hong Kong. Mr. Chan Ho-lim, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered the guest-of-honor address at the ceremony.

He stated that the establishment of the association will help build consensus within the industry and jointly promote the healthy development of Hong Kong's digital asset market. Mr. Chan emphasized that Hong Kong's capital market remains attractive due to its free flow of capital, freely convertible Hong Kong dollar, common law system, simplified tax system, and internationally aligned regulatory framework.

These factors have ensured its continued position among the world's leading financial centers, with the city ranking third in the world and first in Asia in the latest Global Financial Centers Index. He also noted that Hong Kong's capital market remains attractive, and the recently released "Hong Kong Digital Asset Development Policy Declaration 2.0" further charts the course for the development of digital assets and fintech in Hong Kong, demonstrating the government's active support and regulatory vision for stablecoins, RWAs, and Web 3.0 innovations.

He concluded by stating that Hong Kong will continue to take a pioneering approach, actively promoting the deep integration of digital assets and the traditional financial system, continuously expanding the application of technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and asset tokenization, and further consolidating Hong Kong's leading position and competitiveness in the global capital market, Web 3.0 innovation, and sustainable finance.
