Anthropic Completes $13 Billion in New Funding, Becoming the World's Most Valuable AI Startup

On September 3rd, renowned artificial intelligence company Anthropic officially announced the completion of a new round of financing totaling $13 billion.

This raised the company's valuation to $183 billion, far exceeding market expectations and making it one of the world's most valuable startups.

The round was led by Iconiq Capital, with participation from Fidelity Management & Research Company and Lightspeed Venture Partners. It also attracted participation from several renowned international investors, including Singapore's GIC, Insight Partners, and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).

Notably, Anthropic initially set a funding target of only $5 billion, subsequently increasing it to $10 billion, ultimately exceeding it with $13 billion, demonstrating strong market confidence in its technological strength and growth prospects.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, Anthropic emphasized that this funding round not only recognizes its "unprecedented growth rate," but also further solidifies its industry leadership as "the preferred AI platform for enterprises, developers, and high-end users."

Amidst increasingly fierce global competition in artificial intelligence, Anthropic continues to attract investment with its breakthroughs in large language models and generative AI.
