Etherealize, an Ethereum ecosystem startup, recently announced the successful completion of a $40 million funding round. This round was co-led by renowned cryptocurrency investment firms Electric Capital and Paradigm.

Notably, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and the Etherealize Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to Ethereum protocol development, also participated in the funding round. The latter provided critical launch resources to Etherealize through an early grant. The funding round, comprised of a combination of equity and token warrants, demonstrates investor recognition of the company's business model and the potential of its token economy.

Etherealize was co-founded by Raman in early 2025. The founding team includes several veteran Ethereum core members and cross-disciplinary financial experts. These include Danny Ryan, a technical expert with a long history of Ethereum development and research;

Grant Hummer, who hails from traditional finance but has deep roots in the Ethereum ecosystem;

and Zach Obront, a blockchain security engineer.

This team boasts not only strong technical expertise but also a background in both finance and security, providing a solid foundation for the company's strategic execution. The company name, "Etherealize," cleverly blends "Ethereum" and "realize," meaning "bringing Ethereum to life."

Its vision is to foster deeper and broader integration of traditional Wall Street institutions into the crypto-financial ecosystem.

This new round of funding will primarily be used to build Ethereum-based products and infrastructure for financial institutions, aiming to lower the barrier to entry for traditional capital, enhance the on-chain financial experience, and further solidify Ethereum's position as an institutional-grade blockchain platform.

The emergence of Etherealize signals the expansion of the Ethereum ecosystem from a decentralized application layer to a more professional, institution-friendly infrastructure, poised to become a crucial bridge connecting traditional finance and the crypto economy.
