The Ethereum Foundation established the AI ​​team dAI to promote the integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence

According to renowned blockchain media outlet Decrypt, the Ethereum Foundation recently announced the establishment of the dAI team, an innovation team focused on the convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain.

This team aims to systematically advance Ethereum as the core infrastructure for next-generation AI development, providing a highly secure, transparent, and trusted execution environment for decentralized AI applications.

Led by Ethereum core developer Davide Crapis, the dAI team, leveraging his extensive experience in blockchain protocols and distributed systems, will focus on advancing the research and implementation of several key technical standards. Its first major initiative is the development and promotion of the ERC-8004 standard, which aims to enable efficient, seamless transactions and interoperability of AI agents within the Ethereum network.

The standard is expected to be officially released at the Devconnect developer conference in November. Beyond the short-term advancement of standards, the Ethereum Foundation also plans to actively expand strategic partnerships with numerous Silicon Valley tech companies to integrate resources and build a collaborative ecosystem.

Its long-term goal is to build a fully decentralized AI infrastructure, breaking the current monopoly of AI resources dominated by a few tech giants and promoting a more open and democratic model for AI innovation and development.

This move is seen as a key signal of Ethereum's transformation into an "AI-friendly blockchain" and may also lay an important foundation for the evolution of the underlying architecture of the entire Web3 industry in the era of artificial intelligence.
