On September 9th, at The Android Show, Google and XREAL jointly announced Project Aura, a smart glasses device using XREAL's self-developed X1S chip. It is scheduled to officially launch in 2026. Almost all of Project Aura's hardware development and manufacturing were completed by a Chinese team. The X-Prism optical system was independently developed and mass-produced by the Chinese team, while the X1S spatial computing chip was designed and developed by XREAL. The supply chain is based in the Yangtze River Delta region, with Shanghai serving as XREAL's global R&D and future AI terminal innovation center. Suppliers such as Longcheer Technology and Luxshare Precision will provide support.
