Huobi HTX CIS P2P Business Manager: CEX is accelerating its evolution and continuously narrowing the conceptual gap with DEX

Tigran Akhunts, head of P2P business in Huobi HTX CIS, was invited to attend the Blockchain Forum 2025 "DEX vs CEX: Who will win the war of traders?" roundtable forum. At the event, he pointed out that CEX has obvious advantages in user experience, security, and meeting diversified trading needs. Although DEX has performed well in decentralization, it has limitations such as high gas fees, slow transaction speeds, and dispersed liquidity. He believes that CEX and DEX are not zero-sum games, but coexist to serve different user needs.

Tigran Akhunts also pointed out that at this stage, CEX is narrowing the gap with DEX by integrating DeFi functions to integrate DEX advantages, adopting reserve proofs and third-party audits to improve platform transparency. In addition, CEX continues to innovate in AI trading tools, cross-chain support, and fee optimization to enhance the overall trading experience and consolidate its core position among mainstream traders.
