Trump Memecoin (TRUMP) team denies rumor of $300,000 dinner threshold

The Trump Memecoin team has denied rumors circulating on social media that Official Trump (TRUMP) holders will need at least $300,000 to attend an upcoming dinner with U.S. President Donald Trump.
On April 25, Trump Memecoin’s official X account clarified that there is no $300,000 threshold requirement to attend the dinner event hosted by the memecoin project and attended by Trump.
The rumor originated from community members citing the token contract address holder data displayed by the Solana block explorer. At press time, the block explorer shows that the 220th largest holder has 33,114 TRUMP tokens, worth more than $400,000. However, the Memecoin team said that the block explorer does not reflect their actual standards.
"People mistakenly use the 220th position on the block explorer as the threshold standard. This is incorrect because it includes locked tokens, exchanges, market makers, and holders who did not participate in the event. Instead, people should only use the leaderboard as a reference," they wrote.
Trump to host dinner for top 220 memecoin holders
On April 23, the Trumpcoin team published a leaderboard showing the leading wallet addresses eligible for the dinner event.
The final guest list has not yet been determined, but the memecoin team said that any token holder who wants to qualify must pass a background check. In addition, their wallets will also need to complete KYC (identity authentication) and compliance audits.
According to the official website of the memecoin, the team will select the winner based on time-weighted holdings. This metric calculates the number of holdings and the holding time of the tokens. "The longer the holding time, the higher the weighted score," the team wrote.
As of press time, the largest holder on the leaderboard has more than 1.1 million tokens worth $14.6 million, but the time-weighted score is just over 686,000 points. The 220th wallet holder has 1,125 TRUMP, worth nearly $15,000, and a score of 136 points.
The leaderboard also shows that some addresses that currently have zero TRUMP holdings are still eligible to attend the dinner. This may be due to the fact that they previously held the tokens for a longer period of time.
