Metaplanet, a Japanese listed company, officially announced today that as part of its ongoing Bitcoin Treasury Strategy, the company has purchased an additional 1,004 bitcoins, with a total purchase amount of 15.195 billion yen, equivalent to an average purchase price of approximately 15.13 million yen per bitcoin.

After this increase, Metaplanet's cumulative holdings of bitcoins reached 7,800. The company disclosed that its historical average purchase price was 13.51 million yen per bitcoin, showing its long-term layout and a prudent strategy for low-cost asset allocation.

In the announcement, Metaplanet reiterated that considering Bitcoin as a core asset allocation tool is an important measure to combat currency depreciation, market volatility and global macro uncertainty. Since announcing the adoption of the Bitcoin Treasury Strategy, the company has repeatedly increased its holdings during market adjustments and is regarded by the market as the "Asian version of MicroStrategy."

Industry insiders pointed out that under Japan's current interest rate environment and global inflation pressure, Metaplanet's strategy reflects its firm belief in the long-term value of digital assets and also provides other companies with new ideas for alternative asset reserves.

Metaplanet's Bitcoin purchase dynamics have attracted great attention from the crypto community and financial markets, and its subsequent performance and market feedback are still worth close observation.
