On January 28th, according to incomplete statistics, as of the time of publication, more than 40 companies, foundations, and prominent individuals had extended a helping hand to Hong Kong, donating a total of over 600 million Hong Kong dollars in funds and supplies to fully support rescue and post-disaster reconstruction efforts.
CCTV News reported that Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee stated that the fire in the seven buildings at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, New Territories, had been completely brought under control. The fire has resulted in 94 deaths.
Following the fire, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and various sectors of society acted swiftly, fully engaging in firefighting, search and rescue operations, treatment of the injured, and post-disaster relief and support. Companies and individual foundations from various industries, including technology, automotive, consumer goods, and logistics, also responded actively, providing support to Hong Kong.

In addition to Anta, 361°, Tencent, and Xiaomi, which were previously reported, several other companies announced donations of cash and supplies this afternoon.
Alibaba Group announced the launch of its first batch of donations totaling HK$20 million to support fire rescue, temporary resettlement, provision of daily necessities, and emotional support. At the same time, Alibaba has activated its emergency disaster relief response mechanism, and its Cainiao logistics platform and other businesses are coordinating the delivery of emergency supplies such as food and blankets to the affected areas to help residents overcome the difficulties.
Xtep Group responded urgently, donating HK$20 million in cash and equipment for the post-disaster resettlement of those affected in Tai Po. Wenshi Group announced a donation of HK$40 million in cash and supplies to fully support the resettlement and reconstruction efforts of the affected people.
Li-Ning Group donated HK$20 million worth of cash and equipment to aid in disaster relief.
Furthermore, ByteDance, Chow Tai Fook, Ant Group, XPeng Motors, BYD, Ctrip, Didi, Midea, Lenovo, NetEase, and SF Express also made donations ranging from HK$5 million to HK$20 million.
Regarding individual foundations, the Jack Ma Foundation urgently donated HK$30 million to provide financial assistance to affected families and individuals, and to support firefighters, emergency personnel, and their families involved in the rescue efforts.
The Li Ka Shing Foundation immediately allocated HK$30 million to establish an emergency relief fund to support registered charitable organizations, and another HK$50 million for subsequent community reconstruction, totaling HK$80 million.
The Lee Shau Kee Foundation donated HK$30 million for emergency relief and temporary resettlement. K. Wah Group donated HK$10 million (HK$7 million from the group and HK$3 million from Chairman Lui Yiu Tung personally).
The Han Hong Love Charity Foundation announced a donation of 10 million RMB, specifically for the temporary resettlement of vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, the sick, and people with disabilities in the affected areas, and will continue to provide support based on the progress of the disaster relief efforts.
Singer Miriam Yeung's management company announced that it will donate all proceeds from the first show of her Hong Kong concert and all profits from related merchandise to disaster relief and reconstruction efforts.
With the assistance of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, JD.com's Hong Kong subsidiary, Jia Bao Supermarket, quickly activated its emergency response mechanism, establishing a special emergency response team and urgently allocating essential supplies.
On the night of the fire, the first batch of relief supplies was dispatched from a nearby warehouse and delivered to the designated location by dedicated personnel and vehicles; the second batch of supplies has now been loaded and will be allocated and supplemented as needed.
According to CCTV News, the Red Cross Society of China donated 2 million RMB to the Hong Kong Red Cross on the 27th for fire emergency relief and humanitarian assistance, and will continue to provide support as needed.
Several insurance companies have also activated emergency claims procedures for the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court fire, including China Life Overseas Company, Ping An Life, Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance, and China Merchants Renhe Life Insurance.
Specific measures include simplifying claims procedures, proactively verifying and contacting insured customers, ensuring prompt claims settlement, and providing timely assistance to affected families.
