Recently, Dutch quantum hardware company QuantWare released the VIO-40K, an extended architecture for quantum processor units (QPUs). This architecture can create QPUs with 10,000 qubits, nearly 100 times the capacity of the current industry leader. For example, Google's quantum chip increased from 53 qubits to 105 qubits in six years, while IBM recently released a 120-qubit QPU, which may become mainstream by 2028.
