DoubleZero Protocol Announces Validator Token Sale

According to CoinList, DoubleZero’s validator round is the first token sale open to accredited U.S. investors since 2019.

DoubleZero Protocol, a blockchain infrastructure network designed to improve the speed and efficiency of distributed networks, announced a validator token sale, selling token purchase agreements for its native tokens to potential validators.

Applications for the sale will be accepted from April 2 to April 10 through the CoinList platform, and it is also the first public token sale in the United States since 2019. This round of sales is open to accredited investors only.

Under the protocol, only validators serving high-throughput networks Solana, Celestia, Sui, Aptos, and Avalanche are currently eligible to apply.

Interested participants are required to submit bids stating the price per unit of tokens and the maximum budget, which will be aggregated to determine the final sale price offered to participating validators

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Austin Federa, co-founder of Double Zero Protocol and former head of strategy at the Solana Foundation, said: “The DoubleZero CoinList sale is an unprecedented opportunity for validators who are already securing the most performant and distributed blockchains. This provides access to the infrastructure for the next generation of distributed systems.”

“The industry has seen tremendous investment and innovation at the very top of the technology stack — now it’s time to overhaul the physical infrastructure layer that supports high-performance distributed systems,” he said in a statement.

The token purchase agreement comes at a time when there has been a recent uptick in fundraising activity for crypto companies and crypto venture capitalists — a sign that the market has room to grow in 2025.

DoubleZero aims to increase the speed and communication efficiency of blockchain networks by providing high-speed, low-latency blockchain connections using dedicated fiber networks.

The focus on dedicated fiber networks to achieve higher speeds is similar to the 20th century era of dial-up Internet access using 56K modems over telephone communication infrastructure, which transitioned to broadband systems in the early 2000s.
