The U.S. Senate voted 52-44 to confirm President Donald Trump's nominee, Paul Atkins, as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Atkins said he would make establishing a regulatory framework for digital assets a "top priority." The consulting firm he founded has served clients including crypto exchanges and DeFi platforms.
