According to the latest report from the People's Daily, Zhuang Rongwen, Director of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, stated in an interview that in the face of new situations and requirements, cyberspace affairs departments will further raise their political awareness, effectively enhance their sense of responsibility and urgency in driving modernization through informatization, firmly grasp the strategic direction of "informatization first," and fully promote the construction of Digital China.

Director Zhuang Rongwen emphasized that the next stage will focus on two key areas:

First, accelerating the independent innovation and breakthroughs in network information technology, targeting cutting-edge fields, and concentrating efforts on tackling key core technologies, especially accelerating research and development and application deployment in new-generation digital intelligence technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, to build a solid technological foundation for the development of the digital economy.

Second, comprehensively building an open, collaborative, secure, and reliable industrial ecosystem, deepening the integration of digital intelligence technology with the real economy, promoting the digital transformation and upgrading of various fields such as manufacturing, services, and agriculture, and continuously optimizing the common service support capabilities of blockchain, creating a number of replicable and scalable industry solutions to empower high-quality economic and social development.

He stated that the cyberspace affairs system will adhere to the national strategic needs as its guide, strengthen top-level design and systematic planning, and continuously strengthen technological innovation, industrial cultivation, and security assurance capabilities, providing solid digital support for promoting Chinese modernization.
